(3 min read) As an avid reader, as well as a music and movie buff, I pride myself on my fabulous collection of a variety of famous and not so famous quotes. From the well-known Eastwood’s quiet and ominous “Go ahead, make my day”, to less-known Day-Lewis’ annoyed “I drink your milkshake!”. Written and spoken art brought us some terrific quotes we use and abuse on a daily basis, I myself am guilty of mumbling “Chewie, we’re home” whenever I walk through my front door, as well as making everyone at work cringe with “Elementary, my dear Watson” all the time.
Some quotes are actually punching lines, some are inspirational, some are just plain funny, and others are wise and contemplative. Needless to say, topics are colorful too, and you can find quotes on basically anything from pineapples to world politics. Being one of the oldest art forms in the world, mosaic art also has its own array of famous quotes, both as a metaphor and as an art piece. I have always enjoyed a mosaic piece. Creating pictures or designs out of ordinary things is just amazing.
