Make Your Happy Hour At Home Count — Home Bar Decor Ideas
(5 min read) Whether you are a fan of colorful fruit cocktails or serious ember liquids, a home bar would be a perfect addition to your home oasis. Sleek and fun, home bars can be perfect eye candy to make your home look luxurious and inviting.

A Real Bar
This probably sounds like it takes a lot of work, but when you really think about it the bar counter is just a supported wooden board, right? On that note, a built-in bar isn’t such a huge investment, especially considering the payoff it might have. Your bar can also be used as a breakfast counter, a separation between two rooms, and much more. Not to mention that once you’ve built in the counter, all you’ll need are a few easy bar stools and a bar cart or two. Once you’ve got those, the happy hour can officially commence!

Add A Mirror
Even if you add just a tall mirror stripe on the side, you can be sure that it will look amazing in your bar area. It will make your bar look more commercial and it will make it appear larger in size. Glass shelving will also fit in perfectly with the mirror, giving it that polished and sophisticated look. This particular type of bar decor is perfect if you are building a bar area that will be a part of your dining room. In this case, your bar is supposed to stand out, but overrule the rest of the space, so this particular mix of glass and mirror will work like a charm.

Wall Bar Is A Thing
Wooden floor cabinets, brass bar carts, and even repurposed dressers are all great. However, if you would like to have a bar, but your home is too small, a wall bar is just the thing for you. It has all of the essentials of a regular bar, but it won’t take up any of your space. All you have to do is choose the right design and fill it with the right liqueur. This particular type of bar will work best as an integral part of your dining or living room.

A Wet Bar Isn’t Difficult To Build
In fact, you don’t even have to build anything all that special. If you’ve already opted for a particular look, but you would like to have a small sink there as well, then do it. A built-in sink is easy to fit into any kind of countertop, but you are probably more worried about the water installation anyway. However, there are plenty of easy solutions on the current market that will surely fit your particular style and bar decor.

Mosaic Will Make It Unique
Sure, you want your bar to have that commercial design, but you don’t want it to be a shiny clone of the rest of the bars you saw here and there, right? Even the simplest mosaic pattern will make your home bar look stunning. Whether you opt to put it on the countertop, add it as a backsplash in your wet bar, or mount it on the wall behind is of no importance. Mosaic will work its magic anywhere.

Your designated bar area should exude style and exclusivity, but it should also look pleasant and alluring. We are well aware that all of that can be a hard combo to accomplish and maintain, but we hope our advice helped nudge you in the right direction.

Those are great ideas. At first, before reading, I thought you’d need lots of space for a bar, but you proved me wrong
These are some lovely examples of home bars. I think I can adapt some of them for my own use.
We don’t have a built in bar at our home but I have a few family members that do and they are absolutely great! One has a tiki bar and it’s a popular hang out because it feels like you are somewhere else. I have not heard of a wet bar though but not I know! I didn’t realize that adding it around a faucet in the house make it that. I suppose that makes sense for folks that want to maximize space.
There are a lot of gorgeous ideas here and I really love those green seated bar stools. Thanks for sharing all of these ideas.

I’m not much of a drinker myself, but I love the idea of having a bar inside the house. Because like you said it doesn’t HAVE to be used for serving alcohol; I’d make the perfect breakfast nook or counter for smaller, intimate gatherings if you don’t want to use the whole space. Someday I hope to have one for such purposes!
I love the bar decor. Themixed media mosaic bar counter would look lovely in our home.
