Mosaic art reproductions over all other art reproductions
(4 min read) I was skimming through some art-related articles recently and I ran into the relatively stale news about the famous Van Gogh Museum offering a somewhat odd package of nine Van Gogh’s greatest works called the Relievo Collection. Collectors and institutions who would like to have nine of Van Gogh’s masterpieces hanging on their walls would have to pay a cool (bone-freezingly cool) quarter of a mill for the bunch. The bunch of prints, that is… Yeah, you read that right. And now comes the rant portion of this blog post…

So these nine overly expensive reproductions aren’t even handmade. Sure, they are pinpoint accurate, but they are created with some sophisticated three-dimensional scanning and printing method. Not a single brushstroke is made by a human hand, not a single emotion has seeped into any of these…creations. It’s a print for crying out loud! Someone is prepared to pay 250 thousand dollars for some prints! Not to mention that the time will pass and do what inevitably does — change things. Things you’ve paid a quarter of a million dollars for.

So why go for a print? No matter how accurate it is? When you think about it, even a forged painting has more soul and effort put into it than some fine art reproduction print. It doesn’t make buying a forgery morally correct, don’t get me wrong, but when you think about it, a forgery is made by the hand of an artist. A fraudulent imitation it may be, but a human hand made it, a passionate craftsman made it and, unlike some weirdly accurate print, it has its own aura.

So let’s say you have a favorite painting, but you don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for it. You don’t want a soulless art print hanging from your living room wall, but you also don’t want to buy a forged imitation and feel like slime-ball, so what do you do? Riddle me this Batman… Let me solve this one for you… Ta daaaa — mosaic art reproduction.

Yasss! And now you have the faithful reproduction of a painting you’ve always dreamed of owning but in it’s not a dead art print or a sleazy forged imitation. It is a masterpiece in its own right and it is the most effective and the most durable alternative to the painting you love. Here at the Mosaics lab, we can recreate any painted masterpiece you desire into a gorgeous, durable mosaic artwork. All you have to do is choose a famous painting and our skilled mosaic artists will make it into a mosaic art masterpiece.

Feel free to scroll through this article and check out some of the stellar examples of our artist’s mosaic reproduction, maybe there’s your favorite painting among them. If there is not, just hit us up on our chat or email. Any painting you like can be made into a glorious mosaic artwork that will last you a few lifetimes.

It absolutely amazes me the way people can put together mosaics and create these incredible reproductions! It is stunning.
I really like mosaics, but I have to admit that I don’t really like these that reproduce works of art! It’s not my genre!
The time that must go into these! They are absolutely incredible.
The reproductions are quite amazing. I would love some sort of tiled art in my home although not sure what I’d opt for yet.

Thanks to your blog, I have learned a tremendous deal about mosaic and its use in our lives. I am currently working on creating a space that will involve using a mosaic piece.
Very cool, I love how the mosaic pieces kind of add something new to the art.

I love this form of art! So unique and fun!
Wow, even if we were wealthy, paying 250 thousand dollars for some print would still be ridiculous in my opinion.
I am not much into art but I see that some of the mosaic are quite striking. I do remember seeing the kiss by Klimt in Vienna a few years ago and I am astounded at the likeness here.
These are all such beautiful works of art! I especially love the look of a mosaic piece that is framed so that you can share it on a wall in the home. Stunning and will be a conversation starter for sure.
Awesome art pieces. I particulary like the birth of Eve…so tastefully executed.

Sandro Botticelli is a very gifted painter, and I love his work – I would choose Eve for sure

I’m always amazed at the work artists can do. Mosaic is beautiful and it must take so much time to get right
Mosaic art always amazes me on a deeper level. As a person who thinks deeply when I look at a piece of that art it makes me wonder how the artist created the idea and how they put effort into such tedious work.
You’re absolutely right, there is a lot that goes into creating these marvelous pieces. All credit and respect go to our amazing artists…
The artwork is completely unique and beautiful. It reminds me of art from centuries ago. – Elle
