From prepping your spooky costume to carving creepy faces on pumpkins, from hanging hand-made cobwebs and witch heats to eating unfathomable amounts of candy and drinking pumpkin-spice punches and lattes, there is so much to look forward to during October and the scarily fun Halloween holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter how many times you\u2019ve been around the block trick-or-treatin\u2019 your pointy heat off, Halloween just never gets old. However, before the party, itself starts and the sugar rush overtakes all your senses you need to decorate your home BETTER THAN YOUR NEIGHBOOORS. Lol, just kidding\u2026 kinda\u2026 not\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, what\u2019s your style? What\u2019s the vibe you are trying to capture? What\u2019s the message you are trying to send? Are you gonna be classy and elegant and let everyone know that chic never die, or are you gonna go nuts with the scares and let everyone know you are a true ghoul at heart? If you are still in the process of making a decision, we have a couple of advices on how to achieve both that may help you find your own perfect fit and let your inner spook out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cClassy, bougie, ratchet, sassy, moody\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that I\u2019ve achieved my 2021 goal of quoting Megan Thee Stallion in my blog post, I can tell you some steps you can take to create classy Halloween decor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, you should keep it monochromatic as much as you can. And when I say \u201cmonochromatic\u201d I don\u2019t mean make it all orange and black just like your first-door neighbors. White is the new orange when it comes to classy Halloween decorating. Go crazy with white pumpkins, mums, and gourds, as well as plaster or porcelain skulls (real skulls are also white *wink wink) and you won\u2019t be wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go dark with your flowers to contrast the white. The flowers can be black, burgundy, ink-blue, etc. You can go for some fresh, seasonal flowers, but you can also spray-paint some dried arrangements. It\u2019ll look stylish either way. There are also black candlesticks, black pumpkins for a good measure, and elegant black, bats. There, how can anyone be afraid of the dark when it looks so appealing?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t forget to\u200a\u2014\u200adownsize. I mean sure, carving and throwing 200 pounds of pumpkins out on your porch has its charm, but if you want to have a classy Halloween, small jack-o-lanterns are the way to go. The same goes for most of your other d\u00e9cor, so choose tiny creepy black bats, hand-sized white pumpkins, etc. Make most of your d\u00e9cor small and then add sudden splashes of extreme-sized big pumpkins, wicker-brooms, and pointy witch hats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“.\u2026(the monster mash), it was a graveyard smash\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With all due respect to the hip-hop crowd, everyone knows you can\u2019t do Halloween without the Monster mash in the background. Now let me give you some advice on how you can add to your Halloween mishmash d\u00e9cor and make it even more fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eclectic Halloween d\u00e9cor is much about letting your creativity and inner monster run wild. Think of your favorite horror movie. Is it Halloween? Make some cut-out Michael Myer Masks and pair them up with your biggest kitchen knives, then add some splashes of fake blood (I don\u2019t recommend real blood, cuz it\u2019s a bummer to clean *wink wink) strategically throughout the house and place the masks and knives here and there so it looks like MM did his last big crime and left. Is it The Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Place a chainsaw next to your front door, and one of those rubber body parts on the floor? Is it Craven\u2019s Scream?\u2026 The possibilities are endless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go crazy with witchy stuff, because Halloween is all about them spooky ladies. Brooms, heats, creepy cauldrons, and eerie-looking potion bottles are welcome. You can also go to the extreme and dye your good ole tabby pitch-black, but I don\u2019t recommend it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have a big budget placed aside for Halloween d\u00e9cor, then animatronics and fog machines are the route to take. Nothing like life-size Jason Vorhees swinging his machete in your hallway to welcome your guests, or a whole spooky graveyard in your living room to get the party started. (lol, I\u2019m not deranged, I promise)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DISCLAIMER: Be careful with knives, axes, chainsaws, and similar items if you have children in your home. We want to have a fun Halloween d\u00e9cor, not recreate Stephen King\u2019s IT in real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/br>
