Trust me, you are not the only one. It is difficult to make your home look appealing all the time if you are not a fan of classical and sophisticated. Sometimes you just want your home to look bold and awe-inspiring without looking posh or losing its appeal in a year or two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Needless to say, there is nothing wrong with sticking to that \u201cfor you\u201d page aesthetic, but not all of us have the means or the time to fully redecorate our home interiors every year. Following trends has become a wallet-draining, time-consuming experience. So before you start knocking down walls to get that trendy open-floor look, think about your heating bill and all of the clutter you will be laying out in the open. The decor is even trickier to choose, because the large majority of it is a direct product of current trends, but here are some items you can never go wrong with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wicker\u2026 Stuff<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

And no, I don\u2019t mean that Wicker Man 2006 monstrosity with Nick Cage at his weirdest. I mean wicker baskets, wicker boxes, wicker coasters, etc. Basically, anything wicker-woven will always look unique and trendy. Whether you choose rattan, willow, seaweed, or some other type of wicker is of no importance. It will simply always look good wherever you decide to put it. Any other material could end up appearing misplaced on some spots, but not wicker. A wicker basket or box will look on-point even in the middle of your living room floor. Something worth mentioning is that wicker items are usually very affordable and even if you decide to go for a pricier one you shouldn\u2019t feel guilty because wicker is long-lasting and durable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, yes, I know books are not technically a decorative item and as an avid reader, I do understand that it is almost sacrilegious to refer to them as such, but have you seen some of the recent covers?! Books are physically and aesthetically adaptable because they are flat and smooth, so you can build your style with books as your elevating item. Books are also a great way to express your individual taste, so don\u2019t go buying Chanel or Dior books right away. Instead, go for something that will speak about you. Like illustrated \u201cKama Sutra\u201d edition, or \u201cCatflexing: A Catlower\u2019s Guide to Weightlifting, Aerobics, and Stretching\u201d. The possibilities are endless\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/br>

Mosaic tile backsplash<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sure you can go for a regular tile backsplash and it will get the job done, but it will never be as decorative as a mosaic tile backsplash. Furthermore, regular tile trends change every couple of years and what\u2019s popular today, will probably be considered outdated in two or three years. 2020 was all about glossy pastel tiles, but in 2023 designers are calling them boring and atrocious. I bet you are regretting that baby blue bathroom wall now, huh? With mosaic tile backsplash you don\u2019t have to worry about trends, because mosaic backsplash never goes out of style. It can even help with the overall appearance of the rest of your bathroom or kitchen. Even if they are a little bit outdated, mosaic tile backsplash will make them look interesting and cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mirrors in general are great for balancing your space the way you want to. However, before you fly to the nearest Target and buy that wooden mirror frame keep in mind that it could get boring pretty quickly. The same goes for currently popular acrylic neon frames. Yuck! I mean, c\u2019mon guys\u2026 King Midas didn\u2019t go around turning everything into lime green plastic or gloomy oak! He was turning everything into gold for a damn reason. I mean, sure he eventually died of starvation, but that\u2019s just cuz he overdid it. So make sure YOU don\u2019t overdo it. Go for a single, stunning gilded mirror. It will always look elegant and classy, and you will still be able to eat your pizza and live in sin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quality Oriental or Wool Rug<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You will notice that I said \u201cor\u201d in that subtitle, simply because jute and wool rugs are both timeless, but they tell different stories. Both wear well over time, without wearing out, and both are durable and chic. Nonetheless, a neutral wool rug is great if you are still searching for your very own style or if you like to change your ambiance every once in a while. It will add a warmth and stylish feel to any room, but it will also act as a base for whatever you have in mind. Oriental rugs, on the other hand, are gorgeously and intricately patterned. They will look terrific if you\u2019ve already determined the style of your interior. Oriental rugs have been looking traditionally timeless for centuries and that isn\u2019t about to change any time soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
