Romantic mosaics to get you in the mood for Valentine’s Day ❤️
(4 min read) Whether the idea of Valentine’s Day fills you with warm and fuzzy feelings or downright annoys you, it’s always the right time to admire some on-topic mosaic art; if you read this far, you know why you’re here ;).
The loved-up celebration originates from ancient Roman times when Emperor Claudius II forbade marriage as he believed that married men made for bad soldiers; Priest Valentine thought this was ludicrous, and so performed marriages in secret. When these incognito marriages were uncovered, Valentine was sentenced to death and put in jail. During his time in prison, Valentine fell in love with his jailer’s daughter, and on the day of his execution; the 14th February, he wrote her a love letter signed; “From your Valentine” and the rest is history…
Here at MosaicsLab, we have a romantic range of our own:
Remember, whatever your relationship status this year, loving yourself is always number one on the checklist. I hope these romantic mosaics have inspired you to embrace love this year!
Happy Valentine’s Day, and as always, Happy Mosaicking!

It is amazing how beautiful these are. I love seeing how little pieces of glass can be formed into pieces with so much emotion.

My boys have been loving creating mosaic art out of paper lately. I’ll have to show these to them as some inspiration. Especially the little heart, it’s so cute!
the wine label one is super unique. Not an art tool I would have thought to use.
I love the silhouette of lovers! Absolutely gorgeous!

Such beautiful mosaics, as always. And I really enjoyed the little history lesson, too. My daughter and I were researching the history of celebrating Valentine’s Day in the US the other day, but we didn’t go back THIS far!

Oh my goodness, that first mosaic is gorgeous!!! I’m also loving the yellow one and the peach looking one. The one with all the hearts, I can see as an outdoor patio table!
Very impressive collection of mosaics. I was especially impressed with the quality of the artwork and with those made of atypical materials.
These are so gorgeous! They make amazing gifts especially the one by Glittering Shards
I really love the first mosaic there. It’s beautiful and intense. Just a mixture of desire and beauty in a mosaic canvas. So cool.
